Temple Style Pulihora

Pulihora is the main recipe that is given as prasadam to god in every temple which is very tastiest. So let us know how to prepare temple style pulihora.


                                                 



INGREDIENTS:


·         Tamarind : As much needed for sourness
·         Mustard seeds: 2tbspn
·         Oil: 5tbspn
·         Turmeric: 2 pinches
·         Green chilies: 1 0r 2
·         Salt: 1tbspn
·         Peanuts:  few
·         Curry leaves: few
·         Asafetida: 2 pinches
·         Jaggery  : 1/4tbspn
·         Cooked rice: 2 cups
·         Channadal: 1tbspn
·         Urad dal : 1/2tbspn
·         Coriander seeds : ½ tbspn
·         Red chilli : Few
·         Seasame seeds : 1tbspn
·         Black pepper: ½ tbspn

                           
  

Preparation Method:



  •        First take tamarind and soak it in water for 2 hours


             




  •           Cook two cups of rice where grains should be separate where water drops should completely evaporate.

                                                   

                                 

  •  Take a pan with tbsp of oil. Add  channadal, uraddal, red chili, coriander seeds,sesame seeds,  pepper seeds , little bit of Jagger to that oil and roast in oil in a low flame until all seeds turn to  gold  color.




  • Grind the roasted seeds and make it as a powder keep the powder aside.


                                  


                                                 

  •       Now take another pan with 5 tbsp of oil. Once oil is heated add mustard seeds, peanuts curry leaves, chopped green chilies, and turmeric powder to oil and roast it well. 

  •        Now add the thick tamarind extract which is soaked in water to that oil in a low flame

  •    Roast all contents well.
  •    Add two pinches of asafoetida and sufficient salt to that oil.
  •    Add the powder which is made to the above content.
  •    Finally mix the above roasted content to rice and mix it properly.
  •    If you want extra sourness add some more tamarind paste for good taste.
  •    Now serve the tastiest pulihora in a bowl.
