How To Make Palli Chutney / Groundnut Chutney / Peanut Chutney

We all know Peanuts very well. Very healthy nuts to eat and we can prepare many recipes using protein rich peanuts especially peanut chutney is famous made as a combination for many South Indian Breakfast recipes. It is tasty combo for Idly, Dosa, Pongal. It is also called Palli chutney, groundnuts chutney or veru senaga chutney which can be prepared easily in 10 minutes.

INGREDIENTS:

Peanuts: ¼ cup

Green Chillies: 4 or 5


Coconut (optional): small piece

Tamarind: small piece

Salt: As much needed

Coriander leaves: Few

Curry leaves: few

Water: as much needed for chutney

INGREDIENTS FOR TEMPERING THE CHUTNEY:

Oil: 2 or 3 tbspn

Mustard seeds: ½ tbsp

Channadal: ½ tbspn

Urad dal: ½ tbspn

Cumin Seeds or Jeera: few

Asafoetida: a pinch.

                                            


PREPARATION:

Take a pan with ¼ cup of peanuts and dry roast for few minutes in a low flame until the skin of peanuts gets separated.



Now take 2 or 3 tbspn of oil into the same pan and take few green chilies as much needed for spiciness of the chutney and a pinch of tamarind and roast for 2 minutes.


Next add coriander leaves to same content and add with green chilies roast for 2 minutes.

Now take all the roasted items to mixer grinder and grind for 2 minutes.
                 


Now add ½ cup of water to the grinded powder and grind it again for smoothness of consistency.



Take the smooth chutney to a spate bowl and keep it aside.

Now take a separate small pan with 3 tbspn of oil and heat.

Add all seeds (mustard seeds, urad dal, channadal, cumin seeds, and red chili, curry leaves) for tempering to that oil and roast for 2 minutes and add a pinch of asafoetida for taste.


Finally add all the tempered seeds to chutney and mix it well.



Garnish the tasty colourful peanut chutney with coriander leaves.




Now you can tasty the spicy yummy peanut chutney with combo of idly, vada, dosa, pongal, ponganalu.
