How To Make Gulab Jamun

Gulab Jamun is favorite Indian dessert of everyone especially kids which can be prepared in 20mts. Lets see how we can prepare tasty jamun.

Ingredients needed:

·         Water: 6 cups

·         Sugar: 3 1/2 cups

·         Cardamom powder: 1 tbsp

·         Milk powder: 3 cups

·         Gulab jamun flour: 2 cups

·         Oil or ghee: 4 tbsp

·         Rose water: 2tbsp

·         Yogurt: 2 tbsp

·         Almond slices: few (optional)


                     Take sugar in a pan and add water to it. 

                    Heat in a low flame until the sugar solution turns like a thick syrup                                                        consistency.

                    Add cardamom powder to that sugar solution.
                    Add rose water as much needed to the sugar syrup.

                     Take the jamun flour in a separate flour add some milk powder and pinch of soda in it.

                     Add oil or ghee to the flour and 1 or 2 tbsp of yogurt.

                     Mix the content well by slowly adding little of yogurt until it becomes soft mixture.

                                 Now make smooth small balls shape with that soften flour.

                             Take oil in a pan and heat in a low flame. 

                 Now fry the soften balls in that oil until the balls turns to golden color.

                                  Once jamun balls are fried well let them get cool for some time.

                     Now finally add the balls to the sugar syrup slowly.

                     Let the jamun balls soak in sugar syrup for at least one hour.

                     Serve the balls  in a and bowl  garnish with almond slices.
