How To Make Pulihora Powder

Pulihora is the tastiest and popular food recipe. Everyone likes this dish very much. The taste of pulihora mainly depends on making of pulihora powder. So it’s very important to prepare the powder of pulihora very cautiously. We can prepare this powder in home and store it, so that it is very easy to mix it in rice and make pulihora instantly. Let us see how to prepare pulihora powder.

                                             

        INGREDIENTS:

Tamarind: 100gms

          Jaggery: ½ cup

Channadal (Bengal gram dal): ½ cup

Uraddal: ½ cup

Mustard seeds: ¼ cup

Fenugreek seeds: ¼ cup

Black pepper seeds: 2tbspn

Red chilies: 8 or 9

Coriander seeds: ¼ cup

Salt: as much needed

Asafoetida: 2pinches

Sesame oil: 2tbspn

                                       


HOW TO PREPARE:

Take a non stick pan with 2 or 3 tbspn of oil.

First take channadal into that pan and dry roast it for few minutes. Take out roasted dal and let it cool down.

Next take Urad dal and roast it in the same pan for few minutes. Take it out and keep aside.

                                                   

Next roast the redchilies in the same pan until they turn to maroon color.

Now take sesame seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, pepper seeds, coriander seeds, and tamarind and Roast all the items separately in the same pan.

                                                

Now take all the roasted seeds into mixer grinder and add jaggery and asafoetida along with the roasted seeds and grind them into grainy powder.

                                               

Take the powder into a clean dry plate and let it cool down for some time and store in a container.

Now we can use this powder to prepare pulihora instantly whenever we want.
