How To Make daddojanam(curd rice) In Temple Style

Curd rice which is also well known as daddojanam is very famous and tasty South Indian Recipe. Every one love to eat this delicious recipe no doubt. Let’s see how to make curd rice in temple style.


INGREDIENTS:


Cooked rice                    :     2 cups

Thick curd or Yogurt       :     3 cups

Cooled Milk                    :     1/4 cup

Oil                                  :    5tbspn

Green Chilies                 :    one or two

Curry Leaves                 :    Few

Red Chilies                    :   one or two

Mustard seeds               : 1tbspn

Chanadal                        : 1tbspn

Uraddal                          : ½ tbspn

Cumin seeds                  : 1/2tbspn

Uraddal                           : 1tbspn

Salt                                  : As much needed

Ginger                              : crushed a pinch

Hing                                 : a pinch



                                                      


PREPARATION:

First cook 2 cups of rice.

Let the rice cool down to warm.




Now add sufficient yogurt or curd and ½ cup of milk and sufficient salt to that rice and mix it well and keep it aside.

                                           


Now take a pan with few spoons of oil and heat in a low flame.

Add all seeds (mustardseeds, cuminseeds, channadal, uraddal) to the oil. Add curry leaves, chopped green chilies one or two red chilies and crushed ginger to the same oil content.




Once all seeds are roasted well add a little pinch of hing to that content.

Now Mix the roasted to the rice well which is already mixed well with tasty curd.

Add some more salt as much needed for the taste and mix it well.

We can garnish the curd rice with pieces of pomegranate seeds as well.



Now serve the tasty yummy curd rice in a bowl.
