Idly is very
popular South Indian recipe which also healthy. It is very easy to prepare idly
in 10 minutes. Let us see how to prepare soft and tasty idly.
INGREDIENTS:
IdlyBatter: Ready to prepare idly.
Water :
as much needed to mix the batter well.
Salt : As much needed.
Idly cooker :
for making soft idly
PREPARATION:
Once the
idly batter is prepared let it get fermented for 6 to 7 hours. Or if is winter
it will take more time for the batter to get fermented.
Take the
well fermented batter in a separate bowl.
Mix some
quantity of water to the batter( not much) to make the batter soft to pour into
idly plates.
Add
sufficient salt to the batter.
Now take
idly cooker take out the dry idly plates.
Now grease
all the idly plates with little oil or ghee. So that we will get the idly soft
and smooth.
Next pour
the idly batter which is already mixed with sufficient salt and little water
into the idly plates gently.
Once all the
idly plates filled with batter place the plates in idly steamer and close the
steamer.
Next place
the idly stand on the stove. Let the stove be in medium or little high flame.
Let the idly
steam for 10 minutes.
After 10
minutes take out all the idly plates and set them aside for 2 minutes.
Next remove
the idly gently and serve hot.
Next you can
taste the soft and tastiest idly with pallichutney and sambar with combo of vada.
